01 — About

Backend first, blockchain by choice

I'm Janak Singh Raikhola — backend engineer, software architect and tech researcher based in Nepal. Most of my work lives behind the API: services, queues, data stores and the plumbing that keeps them healthy.

Across six years I've shipped REST and gRPC services, broken monoliths into microservices, built event-driven pipelines on RabbitMQ and Kafka, and wired payment rails for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Binance, Ripple and Dash. On the Web3 side I work across Web3.js, dApps and ERC-20/ERC-721 contracts.

Lately my research has pulled toward AI agents, edge inference and IoT/robotics — the point where a service meets a sensor and has to keep working in the real world. I run the infrastructure too: Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, DigitalOcean, Nginx and Jenkins.

Before any system goes live there is a quiet moment where the shape of the problem settles. Meditation is part of my process, not decoration — the same discipline that keeps a distributed system honest under load keeps the mind clear when the requirements are still moving.
